A Shamba boy is police’s number one suspect in the suspected kidnap of a six year old son to his employer.

SP Rachael Kawala, the KMP Police Spokesperson, identifies the suspect as Muchunguzi David, a shamba boy and a resident of Ddungu Zone, Kisaasi, Kawempe Division, Kampala District.

She says that the alleged kidnap took place on Saturday, 12th December, 2025 after Muchunguzi left with the minor, Mpirwe Tumwesigye Abraham at 4:00PM to unknown destination and never returned.

“It is alleged that on 12/12/2025 at around 1600 hours in Ddungu Zone, Kawempe Division, Kampala District, Muchunguzi David, who was employed as a shamba boy by Dr. Tumwesigye Emmanuel, left with the victim, Mpirwe Tumwesigye Abraham, a son of Dr. Tumwesigye Emmanuel, to an unknown destination and did not return,” says Kawala.

A case of kidnapping was reported at Universal Police Post, and relevant statements were obtained as efforts to arrest the suspect are ongoing.

“The public is urged to share any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect or the victim with the police to aid investigations and the safe recovery of the child,” urges Kawala.
