Five suspects have been arrested after NMS and Special Forces Command security foiled an attempted robbery at one of the Warehouses within Entebbe Municipality.
According to the NMS Principal Public Relations Officer, Sheilla Nduhukire, attempted robbery took place on Saturday night, 10th January, 2026.
“NMS security teams, working jointly with the Special Forces Command and the Uganda Police Force, swiftly detected and successfully foiled the attempt,” says Nduhukire.
She says the area has been cordoned off as a precautionary measure to allow security agencies to conduct their investigations adding that there was no loss of medical supplies as the suspects were intercepted with the supplies on site.
Nduhukire reveals that two suspects sustained injuries during the operation and are recovering in hospital while 3 remain in custody. Meanwhile, operations at NMS remain uninterrupted.
“NMS continues to cooperate fully with the relevant authorities and remains committed to safeguarding our personnel, assets, and the integrity of the national medicines supply chain,” she says.
