Authorities at Bumwoni sub county in Namisindwa district are hunting for unknown thugs who entered into a Kraal of one resident and maliciously killed her milking cow and after removed some parts.
The incident happened on Thursday night, 23rd March, 2023 at Bunake village, Butemulani parish, Bumwoni sub county in Namisindwa district.
According to Samson Wefwafwa, one of the residents that after unknown youths raiding the home of Loice Wamoto, a widow, they stole a cow slaughtered it from near by forest and went a way with only a toungue and three hooves.
Micheal Khaukha, the LC3 chairperson of Bumwoni sub county confirmed the incident saying that currently they are hunting those youths who were behind that.
He adds that this is a second similar incident in the sub county in this month.
Khauka adds that’s they don’t know the main motive of this but urged all his LC1s at all villagers to do night patrols such that they can trap such suspects.
The LCIII says that those people might have intentions of witchcraft since they only removed a tongue and three legs on the animal.
