Mbale District LCV chairperson, Muhamed Mafabi has appointed a new Vice Chairperson.
The appointment of Beth Katami follows the sacking of Toney Wamakale in June this year which left the position vacant for about four months.
He declared this before councilors during the council session on Wednesday 11th October 2023 at Mbale District Lukhobo Hall.
According to Mafabi, Beth Katami who is Busano sub county female councilor is going to work with him to bring Mbale district on the map.
He urged councilors to work together with her such that the district can develop.
Beth Katami expressed her happiness with the appointment saying that she is ready to work with the chairperson and the entire council to push Mbale district forward.
Katami will be vetted and approved by council before assuming the office.
