An 11 year old girl has been electrocuted by an illegally connected wire while looking for mangoes.
Carolina Akello, a resident of Pajwenda West Cell, Pajwenda Town Council in Tororo District met her untimely death on Thursday when she climbed a mango tree and was shocked to death by a tiny electric wire that had been passed through the tree.
Akello died on the spot and police is now actively investigating the case with intent to identifying the persons behind the illegal connection.
Moses Mugwe, the police spokesperson of Bukedi South has confirmed the incident saying the deceased’s body has been taken to Tororo general hospital mortuary for postmortem.
