The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) has revealed the fatalities in Tuesday, 2nd January, 2024 military chopper crash that occurred in the general areas of Ntoroko- Western Uganda.
According to a statement issued by the Defence Spokesperson, Brig. General Felix Kulaigye, dated 2nd January, 2024, all the Crew (three in number) and a civilian in whose house the chopper crashed died.
Brig. Kulaigye however, declined to reveal the identities of the Crew members saying UPDF will do that at a later date after first informing the Next of Kins of the deceased.
Information available indicates that the Crew were on their way to DRC where UPDF is actively engaging ADF terrorists and Kulaigye confirms this saying, “the Crew died Heroes as they participated in the struggle to pacify the Western frontier of the dreadful ADF terrorists.”
