The Namisindwa district committee Chairpersons have all retained their seats for the second team after their two year term of office expired in December last year.
The Chairpersons elected on Tuesday, 26th March, 2024 are Moses Waburoko councilor representing Tsekululu sub county who retained his position of finance, planning and administration, Alex Molokoi councilor representing Bukiabi sub county who retained his position of education, health, community services social services and Peter Masayi representing Namboko sub county also retained his position of works, production and natural resources committee.
Dorothy Nebokhe Walukawu, the Namisindwa district speaker who presided over the exercise, expressed her happiness urging the appointed leaders to work hard for the development of Namisindwa district.
She says that this exercise was supposed to take place last week on Friday but councilors boycotted the councilor on grounds that their study tour had not been catered for.
Moses Waburoko who retained his position as Chairperson of the planning and administration committee urged the remaining councilors to work together with him as a team such that they can push Namisindwa ahead.
Namisindwa district council also laid the budget for FY/2024/2025.
