MABLE CITY
Masaba Cultural Institution has asked Mbale City Council to rehabilitate Sleeping Baby to Mbale district road to enable easy transportation of late Wamimbi Weyasa’s body with other guests.
According to Stephen Masiga, the spokesperson of Masaba cultural institution while speaking to our reporter in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, the road is in a very sorry State.
He added that they expect the body of late Wamimbi to be transported to Masaba Cultural Institution offices at Malukhu this week such that clan leaders can view his body before burial on Saturday.
Masiga says that it will be shameful for visitors to use that road in its current state urging the city council to do a favor and rehabilitat it.
Kharite Kakai, the Mbale City Deputy Mayor says that currently most of the technical staff including town clerk are in Kampala on official duties saying it’s hard for them as political leaders to decide on the issue of rehabilitating that road.
