SERERE: Murderer of Homeward Secondary School S.3 Student Arrested

Police in Kapelebyong district have arrested the boyfriend who murdered a senior three student of Homeward Secondary School in Serere district.

 

The suspect identified as Phillip Ajotu is currently detained in Kapelebyong Central Police Station.

 

It’s alleged that on 12th June, 2024 at around 4:00AM, the accused murdered his girlfriend, Scovia Apio, a resident of Sapiri Cell, Kangodo Ward, Ocaapa Town Council, Serere District.

 

Edson Obukulem, the east Kyoga acting police spokesperson confirmed his arrest this morning, 14th June, 2024 saying Ajotu will answer charges of murder.

 

He said the relatives of the deceased attempted to attack the suspect from Kapelebyong CPS but the police officers managed to control the commotion.

 

“This suspect was on the run and I want to report that he is arrested and currently detained in Kapelebyong CPS pending to be transferred to Serere CPS to answer his charges”, said Mr. Obukulem.
