The Kapujan sub county’s LC3 chairman has revealed that a gang of youths especially from the villages of Ariet, Kelim, and Ocelakweny Kapujan have developed a new technique of stealing chicken without them making any noise at all.

Speaking to this publication, Michael Iremaut says the new technique which involves watering chicken during the theft has escalated chicken theft in his Sub County.

He observes that the sub-county authorities noted the newly skilled approach by youth, which escalated cases of theft in the sub-county.

He points out that the sub county authorities saw an increase in theft cases as a result of young people’s newfound skill in the field.

A key team leader who goes by the name Hajji and lives in Ocelakweny Village, Kapujan Sub County, was recently arrested for theft and is currently being held behind bars and the situation appears to have stabilized.

He argues that even when the environment is quiet, kids should avoid the act of craving free goods and instead engage in useful pursuits that require sweat.

Under Ugandan law, stealing is forbidden, and those found guilty face prison sentences.
