NAMISINDWA: Heavy downpour Displaces Over 100 People

A heavy downpour has left over 100 people homeless and crops in at least 12 villages in Kaboye parish, Bumwoni Sub County destroyed.

Michael Khaukha, the LC3 Chairperson of Bumwoni Sub County says that over ten churches and two classrooms of Kaboye primary school were affected during the heavy downpour that was accompanied by storms on Tuesday, 8th October, 2024.

 

He urged district leaders under the district disaster management team to come up with a solution because people are lacking where to stay since their houses were destroyed.

 

Khaukha also says that they expect hunger in future since all the crops were destroyed.

John Musila, area Member of Parliament representing Bubulo East constituency has expressed his sadness with the situation saying he is going to inform the ministry of Disaster Preparedness after the district gives him a full report..
