Police in Tororo district has named all people who were involved in Monday’s 18th November, accident where a Fuso Reg No. UAV 044V carrying oranges from Kumi killed two persons.
The accident occurred at about 5:00AM towards Magodesi bridge on Mbale-Tororo Highway.
According to Bukedi South Police Spokesperson, IP Johnson Mugwe, 12 people who were injured are Bosco Otai, Racheal Akayo, Solomon Asudu, Mary Ikiring, Dina Akurut, John Okiria, Keveni Asio, James Okello, Jennifer Alupo, Rose Ajilong, Godpliva Ajilong and Joyce Inyangu who were rushed to different hospitals for medical attention.
He says that one female adult known as Stella Okello died on the spot while Margaret Akello died later upon being taken to hospital.
He says the driver has not yet been identified but the cause of the accident was over speeding.
