Police in Budaka district have discovered an unidentified naked body of a female person suspected to be 21 to 25 years of age dumped at River Namatala.
According to Moses Kityo Mwanga, the Bukedi North police commander, the body was discovered at Nagayi village, Naboa Town Council in Budaka District on Wednesday evening, 4th December, 2024.
He says that police suspect that the deceased was first sexually harassed before she was murdered because the body was naked without any cut.
The RPC says that they were informed about the incident by a one Amos Lyada, the area LCI Chairperson of Nagayi village after people informing him about the body.
Kityo adds that police has removed the body and taken it to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem as they still wait for owners to be given for burial.
