Njeru Police station has registered a case of aggravated defilement of three minors which occurred on the 8/12/024 at about 2000pm at Matala village, Mabira Forest, Njeru Municipality in Buikwe District.
The victims have been identified as; Nakyeyune Ester, aged 13 yrs, Nalule Alisa aged 12 yrs, and Jimbo Damali, aged 11 all residents of Kyabagu zone, Njeru Municipality in Buikwe District.
SP Hellen Butoto the Sezibwe region spokesperson says It’s alleged that on the 8th, December, 2024 at about 1000am, the victims went to Mabira Forest to collect firewood.
While at the forest at Matala area they were arrested by an unidentified man dressed in civilian clothes claiming to be an Askari guarding the forest accusing the victims of being illegally in the forest on a Sunday.
He then tied the victims threatening to take them to police and demanded telephone contacts of their parents in order to send him money for their rescue.
In the due course, the suspect allegedly performed sexual intercourse with the victims and after the act, he left the victims to go back home.
The girls however, narrated to their parents what happened to them.
Butoto says efforts to trace the suspects are on as investigations are underway.
