Bugisu Cultural Institution, Inzu yamasaba has launched Inemba dance across Bugisu region.
Inemba is a traditional Bamasaba dance practiced at clan level in every odd year by boys who were culturally circumcised during the previous year across Bugisu region.
According to Moses Kutoyi, the culture minister at Inzu yamasaba who represented Umukuka Mike Mudoma III, this inemba is going to be rotational.
Kutoyi urged people from Bugisu region to encourage their children who were circumcised to dance inemba as a way of them not getting misfortunes in future.
Peace Khalayi, the Namisindwa district hopeful Woman Member of Parliament while addressing hundreds of Inemba boys at Bukhabusi Sub County in Namisindwa asked them to resume studies when the new terms opens.
She says that some boys tend to abandon education and marry after circumcision and dancing inemba thinking that they are now mature.
Khalayi says that this country especially the Bugisu region can’t develop without young people embracing education.
