The Office of Director of public Prosecutions (ODPP) has received its first ever Permanent Secretary.
According to the ODPP’s Press release dated Thursday, 27th February, 2025, the President has appointed Agnes Kainza Nzogi Permanent Secretary and the Ministry of Public Service deployed to the ODPP.
Kainza becomes the first Permanent Secretary for the Office of Director of public Prosecutions.
The appointment follows a request presented by the DPP, Lady Justice Jane Abodo to create the position of PS for the ODPP to fill the identified gap in the representation of the Agency in Inter-Ministerial forums in decision making processes.
“The DPP noted that the Institutional structure is big and requires and requires an administrator at the rank of PS to manage all the administrative, managerial and policy issues in order to enable her and the technical team to concentrate on prosecutorial issues,” reads the statement in part.
