Beatrice Kayanja Mao has declared her interest to contest for Kampala City Mayorship in the 2026 general elections.
Beatrice unsuccessfully tried to contest for the Kampala Lord Mayor in 2020 but was disqualified by the Electoral Commission.
She later started dating DP President, Nobert Mao who on 25th May 2024 paid dowry to her parents in Najemba village, Wakiso. Mao had earlier successfully divorced his longtime sweetheart and mother to his children, Naomi.
Details are still scanty, but Beatrice may most likely contest on DP’s ticket.
