ENTEBBE
The Entebbe Municipality Mayor, Fabrice Brad Rulinda on June 11,2025, commissioned five staff houses at Kigungu Health Center 1V to ease access to health workers whenever they are required at the health facility.
The five staff houses bring the total number to eight though Mayor Fabrice Rulinda says more housing units are needed to accommodate the remaining health workers.
Rulinda is optimistic that by providing accommodation to health workers, this will ease their accessibility at the site whenever patients need them.
While commissioning the staff houses, Rulinda noted that the availability of staff houses at the health facility is hoped to reduce death of patients who have been dying especially during night hours due to lack of medics to attend to them.
He added that the next step is to tarmac Buku road which leads to Kigungu Health Center 1V. He revealed that he has already met the Minister for works and Transport Gen. Katumba Wamala and they agreed to remove Buku road from the national roads to municipal council.
“We have had a discussion with Gen. Katumba Wamala, and agreed to change Buku road from a national road to Entebbe municipal council road, ” Mayor Fabrice Rulinda disclosed.
