Uganda has innovated a fire fighting vehicle which President Museveni proudly calls the, “The Muliro Eater,” that would become effective in fighting wildfires that are ravaging the Americas and European Countries.
President Museveni revealed this today, Thursday, 11th September, 2025 after presenting the prototype to the Ambassadors of the USA, Russia, the UK, and EU member states at a meeting in State House Entebbe.
“Having frequently watched on TV as fires devastated towns and regions in these countries, I was inspired to combine our African firefighting tactics with military tank technology to create this fire-eating vehicle,” says President Museveni.
The President intends to convince the Europeans to embrace this proposal and become our clients adding that it is an initiative that represents Uganda’s commitment to philanthropy and the promotion of African innovations.
He reveals that after consulting Ugandan engineers, they decided to convert a tracked military vehicle into a fire fighting vehicle by removing the guns and replacing them with heavy-duty suppression technology adapted from military hardware.
