The family of Late Dr. Gideon Wamasebo Simiyu, the former Manafwa district health officer has called for justice to be prevail.
Wamasebo disappeared from his home two weeks ago and later police of Uganda and Kenya discovered his body buried at Kakamega in Kenya and two people were arrested for being behind murder.
While speaking today, 23rd February, 2023, during the prayers of late’s body at St Austin catholic church in Mbale city, Michael Wamasebo, the elder brother who led the family said they are ready to bring all evidence and hire lawyers to make sure that they get justice.
He said that although two suspects were arrested, others are on the run and soon if got they will be arrested.
John Bosco Opio, the deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Manafwa district praised Wamasebo as a good worker who left good legacy at Manafwa before his retirement in 2021.
He added that during the time when Wamasebo was DHO, he used to be committed towards his work, coming in time and not wanting to involve in corruption like other civil servants.
Jackson Wakwaika, the Namisindwa district LCV chairperson also clan member condemned what happened urging people not to trust anybody who claims to be a friend.
