Students of Riverside Comprehensive Secondary School, a private school located at Namisindwa Town Council have exhibited vigilance when they their own teacher inside the office where he was defiling one of their own.
The incident took place on Sunday, 2nd July, 2023 when the suspicious students found their teacher identified as Paul Wakhiti red-headed defiling the 17 year old S.3 student inside his office during prep time.
The father of the girl, Tom Khutosi also LCII chairman of Butinduyi Parish, Muhuyu Sub County in Namisindwa district told this website that when the students found the two having sex in the office, they locked the door from outside.
“These students then called me. I immediately reported the matter to the DPC Namisindwa who gave me the OC Namisindwa Station to go and arrest the suspect,” Khutosi says.
He added that upon getting to the gate of the school, the Askari deliberately delayed to open the gate giving room for the suspect to escape.
Now Khutosi is demanding justice and is asking police to ensure that the defiler who by the time of filing this story was still at large to be arrested and charged before courts of law as an example to others.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying that they are still hunting for the suspect saying once arrested, he will be charged with defilement.
