Tanzania’s President, Suhulu Congratulates Russia on Victory Day Celebrations

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E Samia Suluhu Hassan has sent a heart-warming congratulatory message to President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Victory Day.

 

The message written and sent today, 9th May, 2025 coincides with the Russian Federation’s celebration of the Day the Red Army defeated Hitler’s Germany in World War II.

On behalf of the people of the United Republic of Tanzania and on my own behalf, I extend our warmest congratulations to you on the occasion of Victory Day — a momentous date that symbolizes the heroism, resilience, and sacrifice of the Russian people in the struggle for freedom and peace.

 

Eighty years ago, the victory in the Great Patriotic War marked a historic triumph achieved at an immense cost. This enduring legacy stands as a testament to the courage, unity, and unwavering spirit of the Russian people in the face of adversity.

 

Today, as then, the memory of this remarkable day continues to inspire all nations to uphold peace, justice, and cooperation. Tanzania deeply values its strong friendship with the Russian Federation, built on mutual respect and solidarity.
