A private security guard attached to SWAT Security Company has committed suicide after allegedly killing his friend a week ago by shooting using a pistol.
Silver Olwenyi aged 37 years and a resident of Ataro zone, Ataro parish, Sere Sub County in Tororo District was on the evening of Friday, 13th October found dangling on a rope in a mango tree near his home.
According to John Opondo, the area LCI chairperson, it was alleged that Olwenyi had been in hiding after murdering his friend, Erisa Okuni last week.
He adds that Olwenyi was got dangling on a nearby mango tree when he had already died.
Moses Johnson Mugwe, the Bukedi south region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying the body was taken to Tororo hospital mortuary for postmortem.
