Former U.S President, Barack Obama and wife Michelle have endorsed Kamala Harris to become the Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate against Donald Trump of the Republican Party.
In a tweet today, 26th July, 2024, Obama put to rest the suspense created by his conspicuous silence on Kamala’s presidential bid.
“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend
@KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support. At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us,” tweeted Obama.
Kamala was picked by President Joe Biden as his replacement after he was forced out of the race by fellow Democrats who argued that he had become too frail to govern the country.
