KAMULI
A man is currently on the run after allegedly clobbering his 35 year old lover to death following misunderstandings.
Police in Kamuli are now actively searching for Ronald Kalevu, who is wanted in connection with the suspected murder of Kanene Alice, a 35-year-old woman.
The incident occurred in Bubogo Cell, Kasambira Town Council, Kamuli District at around 7:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2025,
According to initial police investigations, the area chairperson received information about Kanene’s death at around 7:00 AM and immediately notified the police. Upon visiting the scene together, they discovered Kanene’s lifeless body lying naked by the roadside with visible injuries, believed to have been inflicted by a blunt object.
ASP Michael Kasadha, the spokesperson for Busoga North Police, confirmed that prior to her death, the deceased had received threatening phone calls from Ronald Kalevu. The two were reportedly in an intimate relationship, which had been marred by ongoing misunderstandings.
Police are urging anyone with information about Kalevu’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
