MUBENDE
Police in Mubende is investigating a murder incident that happened on Tuesday, 12th August, 2025 at about 4:00PM at Nakigando East LC1, Kijumba parish Kiyuni Sub County in Mubende district.
The deceased has been identified as Nalubombwe Juliet a 16year old resident of Nakigando East LC1 in Mubende district.
SP Racheal Kawala, the police spokesperson for Wamala region says that preliminary findings indicate that on Tuesday at about 3:30PM, the mother of the deceased left her home and proceeded to her father in-law’s place leaving the deceased alone in the house, and shortly after her departure, it started raining.
Unfortunately, an unknown person entered the house and raped the girl and after killed her by cutting her neck and after fled the scene while it was still raining.
The mother later returned home and found her daughter in a pool of blood lifeless and immediately reported the matter to police.
“The Scene of crime has been visited by our task team and body of the deceased is currently at Mubende regional referral hospital pending postmortem. Investigations into the matter are still underway to ensure the suspect is identified, arrested and brought to book,” said SP Kawala.
