MBALE CITY
Hassan Mangobe, a councilor representing Nabweya Ward in Mbale City’s Northern Division in Mbale City has been appointed Assistant Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Bududa District.
Mangobe confirmed his appointment to reporters, expressing enthusiasm about serving in the new role and supporting the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.
The information that started circulating on social media on Thursday night was confirmed today Friday, 5tyh September, 2025 by Mangobe himself in an exclusive interview with our reporter.
He expressed his happiness with the deployment saying he is ready to serve in the position and to his lovely NRM government.
Julie Namara, the RDC for Bududa, welcomed the appointment, noting that it would ease her workload.
Bududa has three constituencies: Manjiya, Lutsekhe and Buchigai and Namara previously had only two assistant RDCs, making it challenging to deploy them effectively.
Namara says with Mangobe’s appointment, she expects improved mobilization efforts, particularly in supporting President Museveni’s vote.
