A bloody war has erupted between Ex- Entebbe Municipal Council Assistant Engineer Johnnie Yebaza and his wife Harriet Semasaazi Ayebaza over possession of Livani Beach property in Manyago zone in Entebbe Municipality.

The couple who got married three decades ago, currently treat each other as an enemy after Semasaazi allegedly sold part of the land housing the beach to a Chinese investor identified as Chen Lianren who is currently constructing makeshift structures on the disputed land along Kintu road , plot 2 FRV 1244 Folio 18 Busiro County, Wakiso district.

However, the war between the couple began when Eng .Yebaza told his wife that he was selling their marital home in Nsamizi zone which he later sold.  Eng. Ayebaza requested his wife to move with him to go and they stay in the village, something Harriet objected to.

Instead, she decided to move to Manyango zone and occupy a house which was part of Livani Beach Motel. It’s said Eng. Yebaza followed her there and tried to convince her to move with him to his village in Mbarara district but still Harriet refused to migrate with him to the village.

Sources revealed to us that during the time when the couple was still staying together, Harriet had allegedly slapped a sex ban on Eng. Yebaza. It’s said whenever Eng. Yebaza developed sexual appetite he would plead with his wife to allow his cobra dock at her waterlogged pot but in vain.

Tired of sexual starvation, Eng. Yebaza decided to marry a young woman whom he sired with two children. But because of his age, Eng. Yebaza could not move at the same pace with the young woman who later got a young energetic man who can match her pace during night hours.

Frustrated Eng .Ayebaza drags official wife to court over trespass

Following a serious disagreement with his wife Eng. Yebaza decided to drag his wife to Entebbe High court Family Division, accusing her of trespassing on his land housing Livani Beach motel which she allegedly sold to a Chinese investor identified as Chen Lianren.

During court proceedings on September 16, 2025, Entebbe Assistant High court Registrar, Her worship Stella Maris Amabilis requested both the couple’s Lawyers to file written submissions to her court on September 24,2025 before fixing October 3, 2025 to give a ruling on whether Harriet Semasaazi is a trespasser on her hubby’s property in Manyango zone or not.  Her worship, however halted the ongoing construction works at the disputed Livani Beach property till court gives it’s ruling on the matter in question.

Eng. Yebaza’s Lawyer speaks out

Counsel David Mukama, who is representing Eng. Johnnie Yebaza in court told us: “Harriet has connived with the Chinese investor Chen Lianren to steal Yebaza’s land housing Livani Beach motel alongside Kintu road in Manyango zone, Entebbe Municipality. So, we have requested court to halt their construction works on the suit land and indeed court has heard our plea and halted construction works till it delivers it’s ruling on the trespass case before court.”

Mukama argues that his client is the true owner of the suit land and has a permit from NEMA allowing him to redevelop the said land.

‘ It’s a commercial property which should not be subjected to illegal developments without my client’s permission, and whatever they’re doing is illegal. Court has said nothing should go on the disputed land until an interim injunction order is determined. Right now we are waiting for court to determine the matter,’ he says.

Harriet’s Defense Lawyer reacts:

In response, Harriet Semasaazi’s defense Lawyer, Derrick Lufunya told this writer that: “Eng. Ayebaza is interested in starving his family members. He has caused domestic violence in their home. And it’s irregular to sue your wife over trespass on your property,” Counsel Lufunya wondered.

Lufunya says Harriet is unwilling to divorce her hubby.

“This is unheard of and not tenable for a married man moreover wedded in church to go to court and say his wife has trespassed on his property. So we as Lawyers we shall make sure the Law takes precedence than escalation of the matter,” argues Lufunya.

He says Her Worship them time to file their submissions adding that that object the application that was filed by Eng. Yebaza against his client because it’s an abuse of sanctity of marriage.

“This is because when you get married to a person you can’t be a stranger, when you have children with her, you can’t be a trespasser. Therefore, we believe Yebaza’s petition is a disguised divorce petition,” he says.

“We have realized he wants to stay in the marriage at the same time with the property. Eng. Yebaza is guilty of committing marital sins or adultery by contracting a marriage which is against the Marriage Act. So, Eng. Yebaza comes to court with no clean hands but with stench of adultery,” Counsel Lufunya argued.
