The Ministry of Transport and Works has restored normal traffic flow on Najjanankumbi-Busabala Interchange according to the Ministry’s statement dated Monday, 18yth May, 2026.

According to the statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Waiswa Bageya, the restoration takes effect on Wednesday, 20th May, 2026.
He says that during the restoration, the roundabout at the overpass shall be reinstated and the Munyonyo Spur road restored to its original layout as part of ongoing works to improve traffic circulation and road safety.
Motorists are warned to maintain speed limit of 40KM per hour within the affected section and take notice of new road signages.
The design and build of upgrading of the Najjanankumbi-Busabala Road and Munyonyo Spur Improvements and Service Roads, which is comprised of Najjanankumbi – Busabala road 11km to be upgraded to paved standards, with rehabilitation of the Namasole road link plus the signalization of Namasole and Salaam Road junctions.
The project design provides for 4 vehicular overpasses and 2 Pedestrian bridges along Munyonyo Spur.
